Segment massage is a reflex zone massage, where a segment is an area (skin, musculature, nerves, blood vessels, bones and organs) which is supplied by the same spinal cord nerve. Segment massage takes advantage of inter-relationships between skin, musculature and internal organs via spinal nerves and reflexes. By massaging the segments on a patient’s back, various internal organs can be influenced and supported in a focused way. By stimulating skin and muscle segments (mainly on the back) the stimulatory signals are transmitted along nerve fibres and thereby influences the interconnected internal organs and tissues to achieve a relaxing effect on muscles, joints and nerves.

Honey massage is considered a type of soft tissue massage. Depending on the technique, this type of massage can be very relaxing or slightly painful. Prior to honey massage, a massage therapist must make sure that the patient is not allergic to honey. The essence of this massage is the use of honey as a substance that has gluing qualities. Honey is poured over the area that is being massaged, and then the massage therapist puts hands onto this area and unglues the palms. Easy at first, “ungluing” the hands becomes more difficult with every move because the tension force increases. Massage lasts until the palms no longer stick to the massaged area, and the honey disappears from it. The actual duration depends on the type and quality of honey.

Massage for cellulite reduction is a non-invasive technique that involves gently massaging away the lumps and bumps of cellulite. It is an effective and pleasant way of reducing the look of the condition. It assists with lymphatic drainage by increasing circulation to the cells deep under the skin. This increases blood flow and oxygen to the affected areas, releasing the build up of fluids and toxins, and softening up the fibrous bands that have hardened overtime. The massaging motion stretches and relaxes the connective tissues, breaks up the fatty deposits, and smooths and tones the skin. It can take several weeks to see results and that any gains you make are not permanent. To keep the results, it is essential that you continue maintenance sessions indefinitely. These maintenance sessions can be sustained at a lesser frequency than it took to obtain the gains.

This acupressure type technique is based on the belief that ones feet and hands are maps or mirrors of the body. Because each zone or part of the body has a corresponding reflex point on the feet, stimulating that reflex point causes stimulation in the natural energy of the related organ. By applying pressure on and massaging specific areas of the feet or hands, the reflexologist may relieve pain or tension in corresponding regions of the clients body. Pressure on the foot reflex zones improves the blood flow and function of the body organs. It helpis to stimulate and support the detoxification organs (e.g. the liver and kidneys).

The best thing about Thai massage is that, like yoga you get flexibility, inner organ massage, oxygenation of the blood and quieting of the mind. Through deep muscle stretching, joint release and emphasis on the breath, Thai massage offers many of the same benefits as yoga. It is an interactive form of bodywork, quite unlike any other Western or Eastern forms. While it does include work by the practitioner kneading muscles, what makes it particularly helpful is its unique stretching. Thai massage is an ancient ayurvedic healing art. Through application of pressure on energy lines and points, and a vast array of passive stretching movements performed with the hands, feet, knees and elbow’s, the body experiences profound relaxation, peripheral stimulation of internal organs, increased flexibility and increased flow of energy. It is performed on a futon on the floor with the client comfortably dressed. It is a unique and deep massage that transforms the body to a more flexible, relaxed, lighter and less painful being.
Shiatsu massage
Shiatsu is Japanese for “finger pressure”; it is a type of alternative medicine consisting of finger and palm pressure, stretches, and other massage techniques. Shiatsu practitioners promote it as a way to help people relax and cope with issues such as stress, muscle pain, nausea, anxiety, and depression. Shiatsu is traditionally performed on a matress, with clients fully clothed.

Nimetatud tehnika on huvipakkuv lihasaspekti ja sedatiivse aspekti manipulatsioonide üheaegse sooritamise poolt. Selline lähenemine võimaldab sügavat lihaste lõõgastumist ja lihasplokkide kadumist, mis omakorda viib lihaste hüpertoonuse kõrvaldamisele, ning protseduuri efektiivsus võib olla võrreldav botox injektsioonide efektiga. Neurovaskulaarset aspekti võetakse kasutusele kliendi näolihaste halva verevarustuse juhul. Antud tehnika ühendab muljuvaid massaaživõtteid vazokonstriktsioonidega. Tulemusena lahenduvad kuperoosi probleemid, paraneb sidekoe kvaliteet, normaliseeruvad naha hüdratatsiooni protsessid ja hapniku ainevahetus.
