International cooperation

The active international cooperation of EMTS started in autumn 2012 with employment of international project coordinator. Students got an opportunity to go for a 3-month-long mobility to Switzerland and work in a 5-star-hotel SPA The Dolder Grand. In 4 years the SPA has provided practice for over 20 students and graduates of our school. In autumn 2012, with the support of European Commission, our school team went on a mobility to England and the basis for the future student mobilities was formed.

In 2013 10 EMTS teachers studied massage in 2-week mobilities in Europe – England, Italy, Malta, France and Portugal. The learning mobilities were organised in the frame of Leonardo da Vinci life-long learning program. Within the framework of Nordplus Adult in August 2013 2 EMTS teachers visited the Island School of Massage Therapy and studied there various massage therapy techniques.

In 2014, 2015 and 2016  EMTS received grants from European Commission for our 3 different Erasmus+  mobility projects. In 2014-2016 33 EMTS students visited seven European countries including Malta, Spain, Italy, Germany, Cyprus and Belgium and 6 teachers and trainers visited two countries Germany and Malta. In 2015 EMTS got support for a 3-year-long strategic partnership project (KA2) “Innovative teaching methods for development of communication skills in foreign languages for massage teachers and students”.
